What to Expect

Northwest Kids is for ages 6 weeks through 6th grade. We desire to help the next generation experience God, grow together, serve others, and reach people. Northwest Kids takes place every Sunday during all experience times!

Word-Based Cirriculum

Kids need different things at different ages, and we want to help your child understand and learn God's Word at the right pace. Each year, they'll grow by engaging in age-specific learning that is relevant and interesting to them.

Making Friends In Their Grade Level

God designed us for community, and we want your kids to build healthy relationships with other kids their age. Making friends and growing alongside their peers is an important part of their spiritual growth.

Authentic Worship

We invite God's presence into our lives through praise and worship, and we want your children to grow up experiencing the joy and benefit of worshiping Him.

Small Groups

We want your kids to look forward to seeing a familiar face at church each week. As they build a relationship with their Small Group Leader, we hope they'll share, ask questions, and feel supported and cared for as they grow in their faith.

Nursery

6wks - 3 yrs

Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys.
We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has. We also take time to love and pray for your child each week.

Kids Jr.

3yrs - Kindergarten

Our rooms are designed with your child in mind. From age-appropriate toys and special service elements just for them, our team is ready to care for and have fun with your little one during the expereince.
In preschool, children start to engage more with their church experience. We help them interact with their friends, form relationships with their teachers, and build their faith in God. Each week they will engage with stories, video lessons, small groups, and worship songs that give them Biblical truths.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should students BRING to nw kids?
We encourage nw kids to bring their own Bible to participate during small groups. We are also taking time each experience for offering. This is a great way to start allowing your nw kids to earn money and then teach them about giving a portion of what they earned.
What should students NOT bring to nw kids?
We need to be free of distractions, so please leave toys, electronics/screen, stuffies, etc, at home. We have so many activities and games upstairs for students already!
Why a memory verse?
nw kids have a monthly memory verse. We work with all nw kids on memorzing scripture. Be sure to ask your nw kid what the memory verse is and help them work on memorizing it at home. We are called to hide His word in our hearts!
How should students act in nw kids?
nw kids is a super fun experience where nw kids learn about God! While we love the fun, we do encourage all nw kids to be respectful. Parents and guardians, please help us with this by discussing with your nw kid what appropriate behavior looks like (similar to school) during the nw kids experience.
Are students allowed to go to the bathroom?
YES! We give a five-minute warning before every experience. It is at this time we ask kids to take the opportunity to use the restroom and get a drink. We discourage going to the restroom during the experience which is just one hour. We do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
How are students checked out to go home?
At the end of the experience, parents/guardians should take their barcode to the nw kids leader at the bottom of the stairs. The student's name is called where they can hear, and then they are released to head downstairs to their parent/guardian. Please use this method rather than texting/calling students so we can make sure every nw kid is accounted for.

Child Dedication

Dedication is for parents to present their child before God and the church, agreeing to seek after His grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. It's a commitment to raise your child to understand that they are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe that the Bible is absolute Truth, and to know the importance of a community of faith through the local church.
