What should students BRING to nw kids?
We encourage nw kids to bring their own Bible to participate during small groups. We are also taking time each experience for offering. This is a great way to start allowing your nw kids to earn money and then teach them about giving a portion of what they earned.
What should students NOT bring to nw kids?
We need to be free of distractions, so please leave toys, electronics/screen, stuffies, etc, at home. We have so many activities and games upstairs for students already!
Why a memory verse?
nw kids have a monthly memory verse. We work with all nw kids on memorzing scripture. Be sure to ask your nw kid what the memory verse is and help them work on memorizing it at home. We are called to hide His word in our hearts!
How should students act in nw kids?
nw kids is a super fun experience where nw kids learn about God! While we love the fun, we do encourage all nw kids to be respectful. Parents and guardians, please help us with this by discussing with your nw kid what appropriate behavior looks like (similar to school) during the nw kids experience.
Are students allowed to go to the bathroom?
YES! We give a five-minute warning before every experience. It is at this time we ask kids to take the opportunity to use the restroom and get a drink. We discourage going to the restroom during the experience which is just one hour. We do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
How are students checked out to go home?
At the end of the experience, parents/guardians should take their barcode to the nw kids leader at the bottom of the stairs. The student’s name is called where they can hear, and then they are released to head downstairs to their parent/guardian. Please use this method rather than texting/calling students so we can make sure every nw kid is accounted for.
